1. I was on number 16 on this note with 27 minutes left of battery. And my computer decided to die. I was almost done! I am very mad at it. 2. But not really. I could never stay mad at my computer. I love it much too much. Its a beautiful 15.4” Macbook Pro that I bought last August. It is just as fast as the day I bought it, even though I have all of the Sims 2 expansion packs on it. My only complaint: the battery life isn’t the best. 3. Me and Kelly are writing our notes together as we lie in bed together. Sometimes we like to sleep in each others rooms even though we have our own. And it is always in her room. And even though she has two singles in her room, we sleep on one together. 4. Hershey likes to sleep with us too on the single bed. She is our overweight dog who is crazy. Somedays she decides to act like she is a puppy and jump around. Others we have to shake her to make sure she is still alive. Today she is struggling to breathe as she sleeps, but that’s nothing new. 5. I watched Marley and Me earlier this week and didn’t like it because it made me think too much about my puppy dying sometime soon. We joke about her death all the time. But its probably gonna happen sometime soon. 6. I bought a tamagotchi today. It is named Simon. Kelly bought one a few days ago and i was jealous so I got one too so that our tamagotchis could be friends. We are just little asian girls at heart really. 7. Our family is super competitive. And by super competitive I mean, super competitive. We turn everything into a competition. We play a lot of board games at family get togethers which have a tendency to turn very nasty. 8. Nobody ever thinks I look like I am 18. I have been told to my face by a complete stranger that I look like I am 12. When I worked at costco, people would come up with creative ways to ask me how old I was - “You look awful young to be working here” “How old does one have to be to apply for a job here?” and “Is it a pro-d day today?” were common. 9. One time a man told the guy I was working with that he could get in trouble for working with girls that are so young, and that that was how all those teachers got in trouble. Awkward. 10. The day I got my N, I went into a room with my younger sister and people congratulated her. The sad part is, the people were family friends. 11. I am very bitter about looking younger than I am if you can’t tell. I will not be surprised if I get turned down at liquor stores when I am actually 19. 12. I love the color purple. A lot. A little bit too much. Kelly thinks that she loved purple first but that is a clear and blatant lie. Its becoming a bit of a problem where I have too many purple shirts. I don’t have enough non-purple sweaters to wear with my purple shirts and vice versa. I have purple shoes that I wear almost everyday and purple earrings. For my birthday, my list was very simple: anything purple. People delivered very well. I even received a purple care bear. 13. One of my family nicknames is Danie Bear. This nickname spawns from the original Maggie Bear that I gave to Megan. We were watching Animal Planet together and I really wanted her to get something for me so I said pleaseeeeee maggie bear? And from that, the nicknames came. Danie Bear, Maggie Bear, Keely Bear, Mama Bear and Papa Bear. It seems odd, but I do call of my family by these names on a regular basis. 14. On the topic of nicknames, I give Hershey a lot. And by a lot I mean an infinate amount of nicknames. There’s the usual - Baby, Smelly, Cutey, Puppy and such. Her middle name is Almond. Her east indian name is Alminder Herspreet. Her mexican name is Almondo. One time Kelly called her Pershey by accident and tried to pretend like she didn’t say it. I caught her and asked what it meant. She made up that it meant precious Hershey and it stuck. 15. I drive an amazing car. It is a 1983 Toyota Cressida. It has so many aliments that one could never name them all. I doubt I could even get $200 for it on craigslist, but I love it so much. One time a friend slammed the door shut and the side view mirror fell out and shattered to pieces. instead of finding a new mirror, I took the largest shards and taped them back on with masking tape. It has automatic seatbelts, automatic windows, HAD automatic locks. It was a luxury vehicle back in its day. Now, not so much. 16. I won biggest beater car in grade 12 and was very proud to add that to the Cressida’s glory. 17. I LOVE BOWLING AND COUSIN DAYS. Because I have to. Bowling is the plan at almost any family get together. Whenever something is ending earlier than planned, we go bowling. Whether it be a fun cousin day or a sad family event, we go bowling. 18. I used to work at Chuck E Cheese’s. I worked there for a long two and a half years of my life. It drove me crazy, but now I have a new found respect for people who have to deal with children, and parents, and teenagers and everything that accompanied that job. When I moved to costco, the employees told horror stories about how busy the store got at Christmas and how long the lines would get. When it came time, it was absolutely nothing. The best thing CEC gave me was that I don’t think I could ever be that stressed again. Nothing could ever compare to having to deal with a crazy weekend of birthdays. 19. I got a snowboard for christmas and I’m going this weekend. When I was shopping around for the board, the only thing that really mattered to me was that it was “pink, purple and girly.” I didn’t consider anything else when it came to the brand or style. 20. I just shook my dog because she wasn’t breathing. No worries. She’s alive 21. When it comes to buying big ticket items, the color is just as important to me as the item itself. Example - snowboard. pink ds. cell phone. camera… I just like things that are pretty. 22. Before getting my wisdom teeth out, I had never been seriously injured at all. My most serious ailment before was twisting my ankle this summer. I was on crutches for two days. Dylan’s family thought it would be a good idea to station 5 heavy guys around me on a trampoline and all double bounce me at once. I said no, you’ll break my ankle, but they insisted. 2 minutes later - Dana on the ground with hurt ankle. 23. I need a job. I worked at Costco til about mid-January, but I was only seasonal and I don’t like going out to find a new job. Somebody hook me up. 24. Me and Kelly started writing these things at like 12. And she has to work at nine tomorrow morning. 25. My life was pretty much summed up in the words Harry Potter at one point. For the last book, I lined up at midnight with Cheryl and we were the first to get it. I read for 10 hours straight and worked the next morning at 11. It was so worth it.
